Your Isle.
Your rules. Your mods.
Isle Modkit is the modding platform for The Isle. Server owners script their servers in Lua, add species, AI and skins. Players join with one launcher that delivers every mod on the way in.
Windows 10 or 11 · needs The Isle on Steam · your original install stays untouched
Three steps to a modded server
- 1Download the launcher and sign in with Steam. It makes a separate copy of your game, the original stays clean.
- 2Pick a server from the list. The launcher fetches the mods that server uses.
- 3Play. Scripts, UI pages and skins arrive while you connect.
Run a server, write a resource
- 1Unpack the server package and run
IsleModkitServer.exe. It installs the dedicated server and writes aserver.cfg. - 2Put a folder with a
manifest.luaintoresourcesand add oneloadline. That is a resource. - 3Set
sv_publiclist 1and your server is on this site and in every launcher within a minute.
Everything the vanilla game does not let you do
Lua on both sides
Server scripts run inside the game server, client scripts and UI pages reach every player automatically. Events, commands, timers, storage, HTTP.
Custom species
Bring your own dinosaur. Drop in a model, pick a host species, and the build service cooks the pak for you. No Unreal Editor on your side.
Custom AI
Brains with senses, temperament and attacks, spawners with schedules, wild AI that roams. All from a JSON file or from Lua.
Skins and Dino Studio
Server side color skins per zone, texture skins painted on the real game meshes, handed out per player, role or command.
NUI pages
Build menus, HUDs and shops as web pages. They talk to your Lua scripts and render inside the game.
Server list and launcher
